The sudden changes in weather along with the changes among people have resulted in the extremely low number of Chocobos. Heat and the lack of water have rendered the birds weak, making them easy for prey.
Lightning walked the dusty path, admiring the sceanery. There were several Chocobos within sight and they chirped happily at the sight of the former savior. Such affection, no matter how small, brought an ever so slight smile to her cold features.

A World Where Evil Triumphs Over Good
The worlds and dimensions have collapsed into one another, strange symbols forming in certain parts of the world that project one onto another planet entirely. Some bring you down below the surface, others within the clouds themselves. All of this was made possible by the sorceress, Ultimecia, who’s ultimate goal has been to compress all of time and space to become a living god.
The weather is changing and the climates are becoming much more harsh. Ethnic customs are clashing and planetary life is at stake. With Ultimecia at the peek of it all, those vying for power dare to rise up and stake their claim. Some heroes have already moved on from the fame brought to their life, others have passed on and now find themselves clinging to the world of the living. The fabric of reality is being torn before their very eyes.
